Bordered on the one hand by beautiful secluded beaches on one side and by the Umtamvuna River on the other, Caribbean Estates is the answer to your longing for a first-class seaside holiday. With luxury accommodation, direct access to the beach and river, plenty of on-site facilities and the Wild Coast Sun Casino on your doorstep, you are set for a dream holiday filled with activities to suit your every mood. Caribbean Estates is about 180km south of Durban and about 210km south of the King Shaka International Airport. In the lush tropical setting of South Africa's KwaZulu Natal South Coast is a unique private Estate called Caribbean Estates, bordered by the Indian Ocean on the East and the Umtamvuna River on the South. Caribbean Estates is an established development with magnificent three, four or six bedroom villas available for purchase or to rent for the holiday of a lifetime. The villas are exquisitely furnished and equipped. Facilities on the Estate include a beautiful swimming pool complex with 2 additional pools on the estate, tennis courts and a small playground for children. Bring your own boat or take advantage of the boats, jet skis and other equipment at Water World across the river.
Direct access to the unspoilt beach and the grand Umtamvuna  River is via scenic walkways through the beautiful conservation area, where a huge variety of birdlife can be seen. The patient observer may even come across small buck species and Samango monkeys. The Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino complex is five minutes away and offers water sports, horse-riding, golf, restaurants, a water park and much much more. There are additional golf courses within easy reach as well as restaurants of every type close by. Scenic walkways have been constructed through this green belt, with wooden viewing platforms at strategic points. The pathways and the decks are gently illuminated after dusk to allow for evening strolls to enjoy the moonlit water and woodland. From the river mouth to both north and south stretch kilometres of unspoilt beaches with the nearest public access two kilometres away in either direction. This ensures that the almost one kilometre beach reached directly from the property remains virtually exclusive to Caribbean residents. It is as common to see spoor of otter, buck and waterbirds as it is to see human footprints. Access to the beach from the resort is via the Sunrise Beach Trail, the Wagon Trail and the river from River Ramble and Tassleberry Lane. Direct access to the river is from Sandpiper pier and boats can be launched from the Wagon Trail using the Estate 4x4 vehicle.
